Established in 2013, La Brasa International Cuisine is located inside the historic Kamps building in the heart of Oklahoma City’s Asian District at 1310 NW 25th. Since 1910, the Kamps building has served as a meat market, deli, lounge, and as a live music venue.

La Brasa International Cuisine is a new concept with an extraordinary history. The Kamps building still has its place as a live music venue, however, La Brasa has brought a metropolitan ambiance to a historic building, incorporating new and old in the decor of the restaurant. At 9pm, La Brasa transitions from restaurant to a lounge and live music venue on the weekends, offering a late night menu and serving food until midnight.

Chef James Vu has written the menu for La Brasa as a unique interpretation of the dishes that he has tasted from around the world. The unique flavors used provide a fusion twist into many different culinary cultures. As a local small business owner, husband to a loving beautiful wife, and father of two amazing little kids, Chef Vu wants to extend an invite out to all of you to La Brasa International Kitchen which as established September 20, 2013. “I aim to provide Latin cuisine made from scratch & use only the freshest ingredients.   • The ambiance was so welcoming starting at the entrance to the patio. It has a cool urban vibe with upbeat music. I had the Southwestern Chicken Salad & Fried Plantains. It was delectable! I have never had such a filling salad with such an explosion of flavors that were paired so well. The plantains were perfect. Jay, was very attentive to my needs and was extremely polite. I will recommend this to my friends and I will be back!

  • Brilliant. I’ve been wanting to come to La Brasa for a while now and finally made it there this past weekend. I did not regret it at all! Our server was superb, the food was delicious, and the vibes were immaculate. I felt like I’d stepped out of Oklahoma to have dinner somewhere in NYC. The decor and theme of the restaurant are unique and well accentuated & the clientele is young. It’s not hard to see what makes this restaurant a success.
